Symposium & Exposition

The 2nd annual Responsible Shale Energy Extraction (RSEE) Symposium & Exposition will be held on October 13th, 2018 on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).  The 2018 meeting will continue the meeting's tradition of a strong speaker lineup in combination with several panel discussions representing a diverse array of interests regarding shale energy extraction.

UTA's SEIR Building (Science & Engineering Innovation & Research Building) is the latest state-of-the-art facility to be opened on the UTA campus and will prove to be the perfect venue for RSEE.  The building is designed in accordance with sustainable practices, features the latest innovations in scientific research and teaching space, and will serve as a perfect and comvenient venue for the 2018 symposium annd exposition.

We hope you consider joining leading academic scientists, industry advocates, conservation groups, and technology developers as we continue to educate and collaborate to develop novel solutions and safer practices for shale energy extraction.

The Collaborative Laboratories for Environmental Analysis and Remediation (CLEAR) at the University of Texas at Arlington is a neutral, objective consortium of researchers who have been reporting on the potential environmental implications of unconventional oil and gas development since 2011. Through collaborations and open communication with concerned citizens, conservation groups, and industry partners, CLEAR has established itself as an authority on environmental monitoring, remediation, and best management practices.
